Christmas is back and so are the holiday decorations, which in recent years have become a characteristic feature of Trieste's identity throughout the winter season!
The spirit of Christmas can be sensed and experienced along the streets of the city centre and in the city neighbourhoods decorated with traditional fir trees and hanging lights. Once again this year the comet star, which has been a part of Christmas in Trieste for some time now, will light up the atmosphere by shining on the picturesque setting of Piazza Unità d'Italia.
On Friday November 28 Trieste light up Christmas by illuminating 24 fir trees in the city's main square, Piazza Unità d'Italia.
