Contemporary artists explore the relationship between man and nature at the Castello di Miramare in Trieste

The Historical Museum and Park of Miramare Castle in Trieste presents the exhibition ‘Naturae. Ambienti di arte contemporanea’, which explores the theme of nature and its deep connection with the human being, curated by Melania Rossi.

The exhibition runs from 6 December 2024 to 9 November 2025 and is part of the Miramare contemporanea exhibition.

Over fifty works by eighteen contemporary artists of different generations and geographical origins: Rebecca Horn, Hermann Nitsch, Marina Abramovic, Mimmo Paladino, Pietro Ruffo, José Angelino, Serse Roma, Marta Roberti, Simone Berti, Gianni Caravaggio, Elisabetta Di Maggio, Christiane Löhr, Jan Fabre, Sophie Ko, Luca Trevisani, Macoto Murayama, Liu Bolin, Bianco-Valente.

The exhibition project addresses the complexity of nature and the man who investigates it, in a multiplicity of meanings and themes: the presence of man in the landscape, the relationship with the body, with time, with the beauty of natural forms and with physical laws.

The continuous exchange between the outer and inner world thus generates a boundless space in which culture and nature merge and become visible through the artists' imagination.
