participants may depart individually, without a guide, any time between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and follow the signposted course

Registration:
participants must register before beginning the walk. The registration fee is € 20.00 for adults and € 15.00 for children until 13.
Upon paying the registration fee, participants will receive vouchers for the tastings at the signposted areas.

End of the walk: 
at Kohišče, with hot meals served starting from 12 a.m.

International food, wine and history educational walk

The walk is suitable for anyone interested in the attractions and characteristic features of the Karst area, with a particular focus on World War I trenches and ruins near Mount Grmada.

It is an easy hike of 9 km, suitable for anyone, with starting points at Duino, Ceroglie, Medeazza, or Brestovica.

The walk will visit the doline at Dol and the Frščak scenic viewpoint overlooking the entire Gulf of Trieste from Strugnano to Grado. Mounts Gabernjak and Grmada provide a wonderful view of the Vipacco valley and the Julian Alps. In the mountains above Kohišče, Gabernjak, and Grmada local guides will lead tours to World War I trenches and military bases.

Over the course of the walk, hikers will be able to enjoy the Karst's dolines, where kiosks will be located serving typical local foodstuffs and wine.
