It unites existing trails used by numerous hikers and, in its central part, joins the Alpe Adria Trail that links the Tauri and the Adriatic.
From the tree-lined flower bed at the entrance of the former "Monte Cimone" barracks [1], follow the perimeter wall to the corner, and turn left towards the church [2], the sole remaining original building of the Bidischini Estate. You can see traces of the Estate’s ancient walled entrance nearby. Return to the corner and turn left towards the village of Banne [3] until you reach a small square with a water trough. Continue to the left between the houses, exiting, again to the left, towards the woods, where you can see the Badalučka water trough (1849) [4], which has some interesting arrangements for collecting rainwater.
The track continues uphill through mainly black hornbeam woodland to an asphalt road that climbs up to the "Passo di Banne". On the right you can see the Bosco Rossetti boundary stone (1862) [5] while beyond the road there are traces of an entrance to the de Bidischini property. A little further on, on the left, is a large concrete-lined watering hole, which was for the exclusive use of the estate and is now unfortunately almost completely full of waste and rubble.
Once you reach the pass (car park with nature display board) [6], take CAI path 18, branching left after a few metres towards the remains of the large Conconello watering holes [7]. Returning to the track, continue on until meeting another coming from the right (fauna display board). The track continues slightly downhill to a point where a further track splits off to the right and descends in a series of bends: take a brief detour down this track, which crosses the former Bidischini properties facing the sea but is no longer used, to see its ancient sandstone retaining walls, kerbstones and paving [8].
When you return, continue east until you reach the junction with the ancient Via delle Lattaie that descends from the Sella di Trebiciano towards Trieste. Here again it is worth making a detour downhill to see the oak and hornbeam woodland (Bosco De Rin boundary stone) [9] until meeting the junction with de Bidischini road. An impressive sandstone quarry [10] lies just below the path at this point.
Back at the crossroads (history display boards) go up to the Sella di Trebiciano [11] (reptiles and history display board) and then turn left towards Monte Belvedere along CAI path 1 and climb a hill with remains of trenches [12]. Descending on the other side you come across a pond [13] (display board) and, climbing again, you arrive at a viewing point with a recently installed compass rose [14]. Returning to the path, descend towards the wide open areas caused by military vehicles from the nearby barracks [15]. This area is randomly populated by immature black pines.
This point offers striking views of Mount Nanos and the Selva di Tarnova. Continuing downhill, you first reach the eastern border fence of the barracks and then, at the bottom of the slope, the road leading back to the starting point on the left.
