This little gem, located inside the park of San Giovanni, allows you to discover all the magic of the ice continent: from the original historical maps to the stories of the first pioneers Robert Falcon Scott, Roald Amundsen and Ernest Henry Shackleton, Italian expeditions from the early twentieth century to the latest organised by the National Research Project in Antarctica (PNRA).
A new room has recently been inaugurated dedicated to Commander Giovanni Ajmone Cat, an Italian explorer and navigator who, in 1969 and 1973, twice reached Antarctica with the motorboat "San Giuseppe Due", becoming the first Italian to accomplish this feat.
