The Museum of Istrian, Rijeka and Dalmatian civilisation testifies to the Italian culture in the lands of Istria, Rijeka and Dalmatia.

The Museum preserves the memories of the Italians who, after the Second World War, had to leave their territories which remained outside the Italian borders and live in exile.

It exhibits the material acquired over time, such as household goods which can be found in Porto Vecchio in "Magazzino 18" and numerous archaeological finds, works of art, documents, books, prints, drawings and photographs.

The Museum, initially set up at the headquarters in Via Torino 8, is being transferred to the cultural hub of Magazzino 26, where it has already been partly merged with the household goods of the exiles from Giulia - Dalmatia coming from Magazzino 18.

In September 2021, the institute that runs the museum reopened the doors to visitors and started organising guided tours by appointment every month.

- the tours open to the public (max. 30 people) are carried out according to a calendar published monthly by the I.R.C.I. (Regional Institute for Istrian-Fiuman-Dalmatian Culture) on the website www.irci.it and the Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages

- However, visits for schools or organised groups must be booked well in advance and can only take place from Tuesday to Friday from 10.30 am to 04.00 pm.

To book or get information, simply write to the new email address irci.ierioggidomani@gmail.com or call (or send an SMS or WhatsApp) the number +39 351 7590343

Temporary exhibitions organised by the I.R.C.I., whose offices, library and archive are also on the upper floors of the same building, are held on the ground floor of the old headquarters in Via Torino 8.
