At the Magazzino delle Idee in Trieste over 130 photographs testify to Stanley Kubrick's precocious talent.
Stanley Kubrick, before becoming a brilliant director, was a brilliant photographer. At the age of 17 he was hired by Look Magazine, one of the most important U.S.A. magazines. for which he documented, between 1945 and 1950, the different aspects of New York and American society, showing an extraordinary photographic sensitivity and narrative ability through images.
From 1 October 2021 to 30 January 2022, the Regional Authority for Cultural Heritage is presenting the exhibition at the Magazzino delle Idee, dedicated to Kubrick's exceptional career as a photojournalist before he became the famous director we all know. On display in Trieste 130 photographs and about forty Look issues, in which many of the images taken by the young artist appear. The images testify to the extraordinary talent for stories and shots of one of the post-war cinematographic geniuses, director of great masterpieces
