Carsiana Botanical Garden
An enjoyable stroll among approximately 600 different species of flowers, plants and small insects will surely spark the interest of both you and your children.
This small area holds natural depictions of the Karst region's main geomorphological formations and their respective plant populations.
Visitors can tour Carsiana unaccompanied, aided by informational material provided in Italian, Slovene, English and German, or request a guided tour, in Italian, Slovene or English, for groups.
The botanical garden is located inside a doline (sinkhole) in the municipality of Sgonico, 18 km from Trieste.
