Monet and the Impressionists in Normandy

from 4 February to 5 June 2022

At the Revoltella museum a great exhibition on impressionism!
Monet and the Impressionists in Normandy
From 4 February to 5 June 2022 an exceptional corpus of over 70 works will arrive at the Revoltella Museum in Trieste that tells the impressionist movement and its close ties with Normandy. On the stage of this land, painters such as Monet, Renoir, Delacroix and Courbet - on display together with many others - capture the immediacy and vitality of the landscape by impressing on the canvas the moods of the sky, the sparkle of the water and the verdant valleys of the Normandy, cradle of Impressionism.

Furthermore, on the occasion of the exhibition on the Impressionists, it is also possible to visit with a single entrance ticket the wonderful Museo Revoltella, a modern art gallery in Trieste that boasts a prestigious collection: starting from the very rich legacy of the homonymous baron Pasquale Revoltella - who made it his home until 1869 - to reach the most recent acquisitions with works by great artists such as Fattori, De Nittis, Sironi, Carrà, De Chirico, Fontana, Pomodoro, Hayez and many other important exponents of modern and contemporary art.

There is also a promotional proposal for tourists called "Trieste gives you the Great Exhibitions", the initiative, supported by the Trieste Convention and Visitors Bureau, which aims to encourage cultural tourism in the city, rewarding tourists with a wonderful gift offered thanks to the income from the tourist tax (info on www.discover-trieste.it).
