Karst Wedding

Tradition says that every two years, in the small town of Monrupino-Repentabor (TS) on the Trieste Karst, during the last week of August the Karst Wedding (in Slovenian Kraška Ohcet) is celebrated and the hands of time go back to the 19th century , a period in which they were celebrated for the first time.

The event that unites tradition, culture and gastronomy, is a two-year event and unfortunately the last two editions are skipped because the right pair of married couples has not been found.

But in 2020 he returns celebrating the two young spouses Ivan Kerpan and Dana Purić.


Cause covid-19 the event is postponed to 2022.
